Appverse LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Voice Genie mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

By using Voice Genie, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Name — as provided by your sign-in provider
  • Email address — used for account identification and communication
  • Authentication identifiers — unique IDs from Apple or Google sign-in

We support sign-in through Apple Sign In and Google Sign In. We only receive the information you authorize these providers to share. We do not receive or store your Apple or Google passwords.

2.2 Audio Recordings

Voice Genie records audio when you initiate a recording session. Your audio recordings are:

  • Stored locally on your device during recording
  • Uploaded to our secure cloud storage for processing and backup
  • Processed by third-party AI services for transcription (see Section 4)

2.3 Transcripts and AI-Generated Content

When you use our transcription and chat features, we process and store:

  • Text transcripts generated from your audio recordings
  • AI-generated summaries and key points
  • Chat messages and AI responses from interactive transcript sessions

2.4 Usage and Device Information

We automatically collect:

  • Device type, operating system, and version
  • App version and configuration
  • Crash reports and performance data
  • General usage patterns (e.g., feature usage frequency)

2.5 Push Notification Tokens

If you enable push notifications, we collect your device's push notification token through Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver notifications about transcription completion, account updates, and other Service-related alerts.

2.6 Purchase and Subscription Information

If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing and subscription management is handled by RevenueCat and the respective app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). We receive subscription status information (e.g., active, expired, tier) but do not directly collect or store payment card numbers or billing details.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Process your audio recordings into text transcripts
  • Generate AI-powered summaries and enable chat with your transcripts
  • Authenticate your identity and manage your account
  • Send push notifications about transcription status and Service updates
  • Manage subscriptions and enforce usage limits
  • Monitor and analyze usage trends to improve the Service
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and abuse
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Voice Genie. Each service receives only the minimum data necessary to perform its function:

4.5 Payments and Subscriptions

  • Apple App Store / Google Play Store — Process payments for subscriptions. We do not handle payment information directly.

5. Data Storage and Security

We take the security of your data seriously and implement industry-standard measures to protect it:

  • All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS)
  • Audio files are stored in encrypted cloud storage with access controls
  • Database connections are encrypted with SSL
  • Authentication tokens are securely stored on your device
  • Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel only

While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

  • Account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
  • Audio recordings and transcripts are retained until you delete them or close your account.
  • Usage logs are retained for up to 90 days for operational purposes.

When you delete a recording, the associated audio file, transcript, and chat history are permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent for data processing where applicable
  • Object to certain types of data processing

8. Children's Privacy

Voice Genie is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries.

10. Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses cookies to manage your session and remember your preferences (such as theme settings and cookie consent). We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies. You can manage your cookie preferences through the cookie settings on our website.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
